St Bartholomew Fireworks Complex- Gharghur

1910 was the beginning of fireworks manufacturing in Hal-Gharghur. Since then, Hal-Gharghur enthusiasts never stopped improving and working hard to have the best possible in Malta. After moving to several different places, in 1988 the present fireworks complex was built. In the present, Hal-Gharghur Fireworks Committee is working hard to raise funds, so the extension of it's complex will be possible, thus it will be more safe for it's pyrotechnicians. It is important to mention that the Hal-Gharghur Fireworks Group manufacture all the fireworks for the village feast of it’s Patron Saint, Saint Bartholomew.

2010 will be the centinary of the manufacturing of fireworks in Hal-Gharghur. For this anniversary, great festivities will be held in Hal-Gharghur on the 15 and 16 of May, where great part of the Maltese and Gozitan Fireworks Factories will participate by firing some of their best products. Apart from fireworks, the Hal-Gharghur Fireworks committe is going to hold a traditional Maltese festa, with various bands, street decorations, plays, exhibitions, food and more.

Be sure, after seeing the Hal-Gharghur Fireworks Group abilities in their third participation at the Mechanised Ground Fireworks Festival in Floriana, not to miss this great event to remember and to experience once in your life. Also, in the last weekend of August, they always bring up more work of mechanised wheels in the eve of St Bartholomew's Feast.

Updates will be given from time to time on our official website
